This photo sums up the level of awesomeness of this weekend. While sipping espresso drinks at the Orange Couch, the Krewe of Underwear (a sub-krewe of Krewe du Vieux) stumbled out of the Marigny to perform after their first practice of this Carnival season. Blasting ’80s music from a stereo strapped down to a little green wagon, they hacked their way through a newly learned dance routine - completely owning their red onesies. The combination of the absurdity of the scenario with the acceptance and enthusiasm of the crowd that gathered will forever be one of my favorite things about New Orleans.

All of a sudden the river dried up and I was stranded on these rocks. I didn‘t know that I was going to have to call in for more water.

I wish they had these readily available when I was wheel chair bound after my accident.

Discounted new above ground pools. They are worth getting this year, for next season.
